CHECKANDCHALLENGE came back to form with a bang in Deauville on Saturday by taking the Group 3 Prix Daphnis in striking style.

Sometimes slowly away from the stalls, jockey Christophe Soumillon managed to get the colt out on terms and in a small field they were tightly packed throughout the race. However, when push came to shove, Checkandchallenge proved he is much superior to his rivals as he powered clear to win his first Group race.

It was fantastic to get another Group race win this year for the yard and we are so thrilled for owner Andrew Hetherton who was able to be at Deauville in person to welcome his star back into the winners enclosure.

We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Checkandchallenge, with hopefully still some more great days ahead with him!
