2025 saw the William Knight team enjoy a record breaking season in terms of prize money, accumulating £821,680 throughout the year. There were 25 winners with a further 66 placed horses in 2^nd and 3^rd (35% of runners finished in the top 3). 14 individual horses won one or more races each, representing 30% of the 46 individual runners. We had a strong year with the 2yos recording 11 winners from 78 runners (14% strike rate).

FROST ATDAWN picked up £300,083 in prize money, winning a Listed race at Haydock in May and finishing a brilliant 2^nd in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. She was also 3^rd in the Group 1 Nunthorpe at York in August. She finished her season on a rating of 115 and remains in training for 2026.

ROYALVELVET posted 3 wins and collected £92,842 at some of the big meetings including Newmarket’s July Festival and York’s Ebor Festival. STORY HORSE won a valuable Handicap during Newmarket’s Guineas Festival and REGAL ENVOY picked up some decent prize money with his 3 victories. BEACH POINT and BLUE TRAIN both won 2 races and BINTABUHA and BLENHEIM STAR were also in the winners enclosure.  

AMAKHALA WARRIOR and TRUE TEST set the bar for the 2yos with both winning their first 2 starts. BEACH PARTEE won 3 races with ANGELS’ SHARE recording 2 nice wins. CROWN OF LIGHT and LUZON HEIGHTS were also amongst the juvenile winners.

The team is now gearing up for the 2026 season. The older horses are back trotting having enjoyed their winter holiday out in the paddocks and the now 2yos are all cantering away nicely. We have a small team of horses to run on the all weather throughout the winter and TRUE TEST heads out to Dubai at the end of January for the Carnival.
