Velvet Morn provided the Lower Coombe Stables team with their first winner of the year when scoring at Lingfield on Wednesday.

Drawn wide, she jumped well and jockey Callum Shepherd kept her prominent, sitting just behind the leaders. She was always travelling well and managed to find a bit extra when needed. She was doing her best work at the end and reeled in the leaders in the final half a furlong to win by a neck.

This was the second win for the daughter of Epaulette, who has been unlucky in recent starts. 7f looks to be her minimum trip now and hopefully she can build on today's success.
