SUNDAYINMAY gained a deserved first victory when taking the 1m 4f handicap at Lingfield yesterday. She has slowly come to hand through the season and it looked as though a step up to 12f was the making of her as she cruised around on the bridle and didn't have to be asked any serious questions to get her head in front. Her jockey Hayley Turner gets a great tune out of her and gave the filly a lovely, confidence boosting ride. We will probably look to get her back out again soon before the handicapper has his say.

It was an extra special victory for her owner, Renate Baenziger- Gisi as she also bred the filly. Hopefully this is the start of a fruitful second half of the season for Sundayinmay and she can add to her winning tally.
