SIR BUSKER delighted his connections when winning Saturday’s Sky Bet Finale Handicap at York. This was his first win in more than two years, following a lengthy rehabilitation after almost losing an eye when racing in Dubai last year. This made his comeback win even more special and was so very well deserved.
5lb claimer Brandon Wilkie hardly came off the inside on SIRBUSKER, who was carrying top weight, before weaving his way through in the final furlong, getting first run on his rival and keeping on well to score, beating his stablemate DUAL IDENTITY by a length.
Sir Busker, by Sir Prancealot an 8-year-old gelding out of the Tiger Hill mare Street Kitty, has seven wins under his belt and he showed us that he still has the will to win. Well done to all connections of the Kennet Valley Syndicates. A day to remember for all the team!
