The Racing League 2024 got underway with their 1^st meeting at Great Yarmouth yesterday. Callum Shepherd bagged Race 3, a 1m Handicap, under ROYAL VELVET who followed up her course and distance success from earlier this month. Callum had his filly in a prominent position; she showed excellent acceleration and pulled almost three lengths clear of her rivals to win convincingly. This three year old filly by Lightening Spear is a homebred of Mrs Susie Hartley. This was her fourth win of her career and third this term. We are hopeful that there is more improvement in her.
