Sir Busker stormed to a glorious victory in the Silver Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot on Wednesday, giving trainer William Knight his first Royal Ascot winner. The 4yo son of Sir Prancealot had been in excellent form leading up to this race and the conditions fell right for him, with a good draw and some rain around throughout the night. He was given a masterful ride by the champion jockey Oisin Murphy, who sat last of the group on the stands side, and weaved his way through to win by just under a length.
This was a huge day for the yard and Sir Busker's owners, Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds. This horse is still progressing and should have some smart entries to look forward to throughout the season.
Very well done to the whole team at Rathmoy Stables.
