MOKTASAAB made his stable debut for us at Newbury on Saturday and made quite the first impression by winning in emphatic style in the lucky last. Settled behind the leaders, chasing what looked a generous pace, he was able to cruse through the weakening horses in the home straight. Jockey Callum Shepherd still had a double handful approaching the final 2f but send Moktasaab on his way and they pulled well clear of the field, with just one other horse able to be anywhere near him at the line.
It was also fantastic to get a winner for new owner Mr Harry Redknapp with his first runner for us. The horse has always showed plenty of ability at home but to go and show it on the track is such a thrill and we hope there are some valuable races to be won this year with what looks to be an improving horse.
