CAYMAN MOON produced an impressive performance on handicap debut to win by 2 3/4l yesterday at Lingfield. Fitted with a first time visor the gelding settled in mid- field by jockey Luke Morris before making a decisive move on the home turn to pass the majority of the field and and pulling clear at the line.
After three handicapping runs Cayman Moon was given a lowly handicap rating of 47 coming into this race. Hopefully the handicapper will not get too carried away but he looks a horse on the improve and his confidence will be sky high after such an easy victory.
It was also fantastic to get a winner for such enthusiastic owners, Middleham Park Racing and co-owners Peter Leefe and Ian Black.
