King Of The South notched up his third win at Newcastle this afternoon, landing the spoils in the 1m4f handicap under regular partner Callum Shepherd. The first time visor certainly looked to help him; he travelled strongly in behind the leaders and found plenty in the final furlong to pull away and win by 2 1/2 lengths.

This was an impressive performance off a mark of 90, having gone up 9lbs in the weights for his two recent defeats. He's a gutsy horse and hopefully we still haven't got to the bottom of him.
