KING OF THE SOUTH came back to winning ways at Newcastle last week and proved he is still improving off a mark of 101! Having sat prominently throughout, jockey Daniel Tudhope still had a double handful going into the final furlong and it was just a question of how far will he win once the handbrake has been let off. He cruised through the line a comfortable 3/4length clear of the field and it was one of his classiest victories yet.

He has been a terrific horse for the yard and his love for the all- weather makes him a strong contender for the winter stakes races over the next few months. Having only gone up 2lbs in the handicap ratings we are looking forward to seeing how far he can go this winter.
