GAUNTLET made his return to the track a winning one with an impressive win in the 2m handicap at Kempton this evening. Having been off the tracker for 18 months with a tendon injury, the now 6yo son of Galileo showed that he was clearly over his problems, skipping clear of the field and securing a 4 length win. He travelled well throughout the race, but it wasn't until jockey Jamie Spencer asked him for an effort on the home turn that he really picked up and powered down the outside, sweeping past his rivals. This was a well deserved victory for this beautifully bred horse and his patient owners, J and P Seabrook and Tim Fisher.
