DUAL IDENTITY made light work of a high quality field when storming to a 4.5 length victory in the 1m2f Virgin Bet Handicap at Sandown yesterday. The 5yo son of Belardo has been running consistently in large fields all year, but bounced back to his true form on his favourite track. Jockey Marco Ghiani overcame a wide draw, and a wide sit for most of the race, asking DUAL IDENTITY for an effort 2f out. The gelding responded and very quickly had the race put to bed, pulling well clear of his rivals. This was a welcome winner for the yard and another impressive win for the Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds team. DUAL IDENTITY will likely now head to the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket at the end of September, a race he finished 3rd in last year.
