Another year older and AUTHOR'S DREAM keeps proving that age is no barrier as he provided another win at Southwell on Tuesday. Travelling strongly throughout under jockey Marco Ghiani, the 9-year-old took up the lead going easily turning for home. When push came to shove he looked to be getting out- paced by his rivals younger legs but his gritty determination saw him clinch victory by a neck at the line.

He has been a wonderful racehorse for us and his owners, Mr & Mrs Conroy who adore him. He is now reaching his highest ever handicap rating but he loves the galloping all- weather tracks, like Southwell, so will still have plenty of opportunities as the all- weather season continues.
