ATLANTIC GAMBLE landed his 6th win of the year at Newbury on Saturday. The heavy going didn't seem to slow him down and he kept on gamely beating the Ed Walker trained Phoenix Passion by half a length. This was an incredible achievement for the 3yo son of Lightning Spear, who was purchased at the Tattersalls yearling sale for just 3,000gns. His first win came on just his third start of the year at Kempton back in May. He went on to win a further five races from 6 starts, rising in the weights from 56 to 83. He will now enjoy a very well deserved holiday and we look forward to an exciting 4yo campaign with him next year. He has given his owners The Badger's Set an incredible season!
