After coming back to form last time out, Commit No Nuisance went one better last night at Chelmsford by losing his maiden tag under a determined Callum Shepherd. The 4-year-old gelding was in a prominent position throughout and having picked up the leader easily he had to fend off a late challenger on his inside to win by a head. It was extremely satisfying to see him win after a few unlucky runs through the winter and he paid back his patient owner, Gary Stevens, in the best way with hopefully more success to follow.
It has been a fruitful start to the year with 5 winners from only 34 runners. The flat season is almost ready to get into full swing and we have a strong team of horses fresh from their winter break ready to hit the track soon.
