2nd win for Unit this term
on 16 February 2019

Unit of Assessment made all under jockey Adam Kirby to claim his fourth career success at Kempton this evening.

Front running tactics seem to be the order of the day with Tesorina seen to good effect from the front at Lingfield yesterday. Kirby was booked to ride Tesorina yesterday, but a sore back saw him sidelined allowing substitute Richard Kingscote to take the spoils. The jockey was clearly back on form today and judged the pace to perfection. With no one else keen to take him on, he set an even gallop and wound it up gradually, kicking for home turning into the straight. He had a game partner in Unit of Assessment who pulled away to win by two and a half lengths.

This gelded son of Dragon Pulse is now a 5yo, but he remains tough and consistent, having won 4 times and been placed 7 times.

We have a small team of horses running over the winter, but they are all running well and are giving us some fun whilst we wait for the turf season to start next month.
