Unit has the measure of Kempton rivals
on 15 January 2019

Unit of Assessment was a deserved winner of the 1m4f 0-70 Handicap at Kempton this evening.

This was the yard's first winner of the 2019 campaign and hopefully the first of many. Unit of Assessment's last win came in February last year, but he was placed third and second in his last two starts this winter and managed to go one better today.

Tucked in behind the leaders, Adam Kirby had the 5yo son of Dragon Pulse ready to pounce as soon as the cutaway allowed him some room to maneuver up the inside rail. He pulled away strongly and won by a convincing 3 length margin. This was the horse's third taste of victory and he has now won £17,000 in prize money.

Congratulations to owners Andrew and Helen Hetherton.
