New recruit Archimento scores at Brighton
on 02 September 2018

William looks to have another Brighton specialist on his hands in new recruit Archimento who won the 1m3f+ handicap this afternoon.

The 5yo gelding joined the team at Angmering Park when former trainer Philip Hide left the training ranks in August. He ran well on debut for his new trainer, finishing second at Windsor just a week ago. Today saw him return to a track his clearly enjoys, with his two previous wins having also come at Brighton. He made it 3 from 5 today under 3lb claimer Jason Watson.

Archimento settled well behind long time leader Henry Croft who set a fairly sedate pace for much of the race. Jason Watson held on to his mount for as long as possible before sending him to win his race 2f out. He pulled away and won nicely by 1 1/2 lengths.
