Back to back wins for Seinesational
on 19 June 2018

Seinesational picked up the second win of his career this evening, just a week after breaking his maiden at Windsor.

This evening's win came at Brighton and the 3yo son of Champs Elysees was this time partnered by promising young apprentice Jason Watson, whose 5lb claim almost cancelled out the 6lb penalty awarded for last week's win.

Seinesational tracked the leaders and travelled strongly throughout the race. He made his move with 3 furlongs left to run and drew upsides the leader within the final furlong. He looked to have the race in his grasp when the first past the post drifted right, carrying Seinesational with him. Seinesational, although beaten a neck, was awarded the race following a lengthy stewards' enquiry which deemed the 'winner' to have caused significant interference, costing Seinesational the race. It is obviously preferable to win outright, rather than in the stewards' room, but this was a deserved win for the horse.

The horses are in good form, and tomorrow sees Secret Art return to Chelmsford to try and get the double following his victory at the track last month.
