Second win for Unit
on 24 February 2018

Unit of Assessment left it to the last minute to get his head in front when winning at Lingfield this afternoon.

This was the second win for the 4yo gelded son of Dragon Pulse, who was unlucky last time at Chelmsford when forced to make the running. He jumped out well again today but jockey Adam Kirby settled him in mid division until asking him to quicken turning for home. He came with a nice run around the outside and battled hard to see off various challengers, with the first three finishing in a line. The official winning distance of a neck was testament to the grit of both horse and rider!

This was William's 4th winner of the year with the yard enjoying a 24% strike rate. Hopefully the arctic weather which is forecast for next week will not hinder our progress with the next batch coming through.
