Sir Busker

by Sir Prancealot ex Street Kitty

DOB: 20th March 2016
COL: Bay SEX: Colt
OWNER: Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds
BREEDER: Ms Ann Foley, Cork Ireland

This colt is a son of Sir Prancealot out of an unraced Tiger Hill mare. A strong-looking March foal. Although the dam Street Kitty  never raced, she has already made an impact as a broodmare. Her 2012 foal Nag's Wag is a seven-time winner over sprint trips, whilst her 2015 offering The Love Doctor was precocious enough to finish second in the Brocklesby at Doncaster in April last year. Her ability to transmit speed contrasts interestingly with the recognised stamina influence of her three-time Grp-1 winning sire.

The second dam produced Amy Dorrit, who has won an astonishing 24 races in Greece, collecting over £120,000 in prize-money in the process. A generation further back we find the matriarch Loon, a Listed-placed runner in France who has created a real dynasty at stud. Her best performer was the dual Grade-1 winner Golden Apples, herself the dam of Grade-3 scorer Habaya. Other daughters of Loon include the Grp-3 Park Hill Stakes winner Alexander Three D and the multiple stakes placed La Piaf.

The sire Sir Prancealot was a speedball on the racecourse for trainer Richard Hannon Snr, winning the Grp-2 Flying Childers Stakes during his one and only season of racing. He has reached even greater heights in his second career already, taking the crown of Champion first crop stallion in 2016 - defeating amongst others the mighty Frankel. His best runners include the 111 rated Listed winner Sir Dancealot, as well as the Grade-2 winner and Grade-1 placed Madam Dancealot.

KVT bloodstock adviser Luke Lillingston was behind the purchase of that filly and comments: 'I was fortunate to buy Madame Dancealot, who I can honestly say is one of the toughest fillies I have ever had anything to do with'. Referring to this particular son of Sir Prancealot, Luke was effusive in his praise stating that the colt 'created the best first impression of anything I saw at Fairyhouse. I am confident he will give his owners huge fun'.

This colt promises to combine the class and durability typical of a Sir Prancealot with real precocity and enduring quality on the distaff side. He is eligible for the Plus10 bonus scheme as well as the Tattersalls Ireland £300,000 Sales race.
