HISTORIC Angmering Park in West Sussex is a proven base for training winners at all levels of the Sport Of Kings. Lady Herries has trained at the 6,750 acre estate for many years and has sent out a host of winners including the exceptional Celtic Swing, winner of the 1995 Prix du Jockey Club and 1989 Coronation Cup winner Sheriff’s Star.

William occupies Lower Coombe Stables and has full use of the magnificent facilities at Angmering Park, which inlude a superb mile-and-half Softtrack gallop, completed in 2010. William's desire to offer the best training surfaces was underlined when the five-furlong woodchip gallop was relaid in 2011.

The sparkling new facilities sit comfortably in what is a picturesque and renowned setting. Accompanying the gallops, there are acres of turn out paddocks and plenty of woodland walking grounds.

Angmering is the perfect location for keeping racehorses happy and ideal for freshening up any horse – especially one not suited by the hurly-burly of a major training centre.

While the yard is set in a uniquely tranquil environment, it is within easy reach of all the major Southern tracks like Sandown Park, Epsom, Lingfield and Kempton. Even closer are Goodwood and Brighton while Salisbury, Newbury and Bath are not far away.

There is every reason to believe that the combination of Angmering’s superb facilities and William’s experience and enthusiasm will create the perfect atmosphere to help a racehorse to fulfill its maximum potential.
